During pregnancy is a good time to start bonding with your unborn baby.
Bonding with your baby during pregnancy is important in helping them grow into confident and happy children and adults. This special relationship can begin before birth. Stroking and holding your bump, taking time to think about your baby, and talking or singing to them are all simple ways to start bonding.
Including your partner and other family members can also help them feel connected to your baby. These early interactions support your baby’s brain development. Watch the video below from our Baby Brain series to find out more about bonding with your unborn baby.
